RBC Capital Markets has brought in Tim Wons, who left his executive leadership role for AccentCare Inc., to join the RBC not-for-profit healthcare finance group.
Wons who will join as a managing director, is based in Chicago and will start his new venture on Monday. He will report to Adrian Balderrama, Managing Director and Head of Healthcare Municipal Finance.
“Tim’s broad and unique healthcare finance background will be a great addition to our Healthcare Finance team and will add deep industry knowledge to our strategic not-for-profit healthcare advisory efforts,” Jim Tricolli, Co-Head of Municipal Finance at RBC, said in an internal memo obtained by The Bond Buyer.

Wons celebrated his 30th year in healthcare finance earlier this year and has held a variety of roles in healthcare management, private equity and investment banking. Most recently Tim was part of the executive leadership team for AccentCare Inc., a private equity firm investing in post-acute care services based in Dallas, Texas.
Prior to that he led the acquisitions and development team for LHP Hospital Group. In addition, Wons spent 15 years as an investment banker with JP Morgan in their Not-For-Profit Healthcare Group. After earning his law degree from DePaul University, he was a public finance attorney at Katten Muchin & Zavis in Chicago. Tim started his career in municipal finance as a municipal bond analyst with Van Kampen Funds.
