The San Francisco firm of Stone & Youngberg has named four new vice presidents.
Those employees are Joe Brazil, Jim Carr, and Mark Wilson, who work in the firm's San Francisco taxable fixed-income group, and Sara Oberlies, who is a public finance banker in the Los Angeles office, according to a company statement released last week.
Oberlies joined Stone & Youngberg in March 2000. She has worked with local agency financings, but her primary experience has been with land-secured, tax increment, and general fund credits. She had previously worked at the National Association of Local Housing Finance Agencies and The Bond Market Association.
Brazil and Carr both joined Stone & Youngberg in 2001, while Wilson joined the firm in 1997. Brazil has 13 years of fixed-income experience. He has worked at eBondUSA; Kemper Capital Markets; Butler, Larsen, Pierce Inc.; and Wells Fargo.
Carr, who trades mortgage-backed securities, began his career at PaineWebber Inc. -- now UBS PaineWebber -- in New York City.
Stone & Youngberg ranks 19th in the nation among senior managers of all bonds, having underwritten $2.5 billion in deals for a 0.9% market share, according to Thomson Financial Securities Data.
