Arkansas-based Crews & Associates is looking to grow its investment banking footprint with the promotion of Michael Lambert to head of national public finance.
Lambert, a 20-year veteran of the firm, said he would like to expand into three to four new states over the next year or two, while adding to the current staff of 20 investment bankers.
“We are looking to expand in the North Central, Northeast and Southeast initially and then look to move to the Midwest,” Lambert said in an email. “We are looking to add three to five bankers a year as opportunities come available.”
In addition to Arkansas, Crews has capital markets offices in Alabama, Arizona, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, New York, and West Virginia.
Over the past 10 years, Crews has ranked in the top three for underwriting debt in Arkansas, according to Refinitiv data. Last year, the firm ranked second with 35 deals totaling $544.6 million. It also ranked in the top 10 in Louisiana, Mississippi, and West Virginia in 2021.
Lambert worked on more than 300 transactions totaling over $4.1 billion in more than 20 states over the last decade, according to a statement from Crews.
It also said Lambert led Crews’ Louisiana team for several years and has “worked with the creation, structuring and issuance of secondary market securitizations and occasionally serves as municipal advisor” in addition to traditional underwriting.
Lambert has a bachelor of business administration degree and master of business administration degree from University of Central Arkansas.
