Gail Sussman, head of the U.S. Public Finance Group Moody’s Investors Service, will take on a new role as senior vice president in the group on April 1.

Mike Rowan will take over as leader of the group. He has led the rating agency’s Global Project, Public & Infrastructure Finance team since 2013.

Rowan, who has worked closely with Sussman, plans to keep the current management team in place and expects a smooth transition.

Sussman will remain part of the public finance leadership team and will continue to share her knowledge across the firm and support Moody’s visibility in the municipal market.

In her new role, Sussman will also be leading a number of key internal and external analytic and operational initiatives, Moody's said.
