HJ Sims has named Melissa Messina as a senior vice president of investment banking in the Rockville, Md.
Prior to joining Sims, Messina was a principal in the Baltimore and Washington, D.C. offices of Miles & Stockbridge and a member of the law firm’s Real Estate and Transactional Finance Practice. While there she focused on public and commercial finance, with an emphasis on real estate, senior living, health care and economic development.
While practicing law, she was a member of the Council of Development Finance Agencies and the National Association of Bond Lawyers. She has been a speaker at local and national conferences on tax-exempt municipal finance, primarily covering topics relating to tax increment finance and tax-exempt public infrastructure finance.

Melissa earned a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center and a Bachelor of Science in Information Sciences from the University of Maryland-R. H. Smith School of Business.
The firm also added Lynn Stebbins as a financial advisor for individuals in Boca Raton, Fla.
Previously, Stebbins had a 28-year career in the golfing industry. She holds Series 7, 63 and 65 licenses, as well as a Series 0215 life insurance license that includes variable, fixed annuity and health.
Stebbins isworking on completing a Certified Financial Planner designation at Boston University. She holds an MBA from the University of Phoenix.
