McGruder joins BOK as head of muni underwriting, trading

Mark McGruder, former senior vice president for the public finance investment banking division at UMB Financial Corp., has joined BOK Financial Securities, Inc. as leader of municipal bond underwriting and trading.

McGruder will head the organization’s municipal bond underwriting and trading activities from its Texas municipal finance headquarters in Richardson, Texas.

At UMB, McGruder helped expand investment banking efforts in Texas and throughout the Midwest.

Prior to his time at UMB, McGruder was a managing director and national head of municipal syndication with Hilltop Securities, where he spent 14 years. As a senior underwriter, he was responsible for the management of the competitive and negotiated underwriting teams. He also solicited and presented new issue opportunities with public finance and investment banking.
