Jonathan Bradley is putting his strong analytical skills — some of which were acquired during his years as a youth coach in multiple sports — into practice as a vice president at Assured Guaranty Corp.
He joined the New York-based financial guaranty insurance company in 2010 after graduating with a dual degree in finance and economics in 2010 from Penn State University.
The 33-year-old earned his Master of Business Administration degree this year from Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management.
He has honed his skills in municipal credit analysis in the public finance surveillance group, a role that helped improve his analytical skills, and broaden his horizons across multiple teams covering a variety of sectors, according to Barbara Boullé, director of surveillance.
“As a result of his continuous growth and performance, Jonathan has been assigned the management of a variety of distressed credits, including being a member of the Puerto Rico workout team, and has reviewed and reported on various international utility systems,” Boulle, who nominated Jonathan for this honor, said.
Besides his daily responsibilities, Jonathan shares a camaraderie with younger employees, especially those just starting out.
“As someone who initially joined Assured out of undergrad, I really enjoy being able to pass that knowledge along and see the growth in younger employees,” he said.
Jonathan, a sports enthusiast, has two children.
“Athletics were a big part of my life in my younger days,” he said. And it continues. Jonathan is trying to combine two of his most recent hobbies — Spartan Races and traveling — by identifying races further from home to allow him to visit new places.
He continues coaching children's sports. “Seeing kids that I have coached grow and succeed has been more rewarding than any of my own personal accomplishments,” Jonathan said.
