The weekly average yield to maturity of The Bond Buyer Municipal Bond Index, which is based on 40 long-term bond prices, was 11 basis points lower to 4.05% from 4.16% for the previous week.
The Bond Buyer's 20-Bond GO Index of 20-year general obligation yields fell eight basis points to 3.30% from 3.38% the previous week. It is at its lowest level since Jan. 15, 2015, when it stood at 3.29%.
The 11-Bond GO Index of higher-grade 20-year GO yields decreased eight basis points to 2.82% from 2.90% in the prior week. It is at its lowest since June 12, 1958, when it stood at 2.80%.
The Bond Buyer's Revenue Bond Index yield was down five basis points to 3.78% from 3.83% in the prior week. It is at its lowest level in three weeks when it stood at 3.76%.
The yield on the U.S. Treasury's 10-year note declined 12 basis points to 1.87% from 1.99%, while the yield on the Treasury's 30-year bond was nine basis points lower to 2.70% from 2.79% in the previous week.
