The weekly average yield to maturity of The Bond Buyer Municipal Bond Index, which is based on 40 long-term bond prices, was one basis point lower to 4.14% from 4.15% for the previous week.
The Bond Buyer's 20-Bond GO Index of 20-year general obligation yields fell eight basis points to 3.37% from 3.45% the previous week. It is at its lowest level since Jan. 29, 2015, when it stood at 3.36%.
The 11-Bond GO Index of higher-grade 20-year GO yields decreased eight basis points to 2.88% from 2.96% in the prior week. It is at its lowest level since June 12, 1958, when it stood at 2.80%.
The Bond Buyer's Revenue Bond Index yield was down three basis points to 3.76% from 3.79% in the prior week. It sets a new low since this index started being record in 1979, with the previous low was record on Jan. 7, 2016 when it was at 3.78%.
The yield on the U.S. Treasury's 10-year note was down eight basis points to 2.02% from 2.10%, while the yield on the Treasury's 30-year bond was nine basis points lower to 2.80% from 2.89% in the previous week.
