Bond Buyer Indexes Mostly Unchanged

The weekly average yield to maturity of The Bond Buyer Municipal Bond Index, which is based on 40 long-term bond prices was steady at 3.80% from the previous week.

The Bond Buyer's 20-Bond GO Index of 20-year general obligation was unchanged at 3.18% from the prior week. It is at its lowest level since May 13, 1965 when it stood at 3.14%.

The 11-Bond GO Index of higher-grade 20-year GO yields was flat at 2.70% from the previous week. It is at its lowest level since Jan. 23, 1958 when it was at 2.70%.

The Bond Buyer's Revenue Bond Index was 14 basis points higher to 3.52% from 3.38%, the lowest it’s ever been, from last week. It is at its highest level since May 12 when it was 3.54%.

The yield on the U.S. Treasury's 10-year note was 16 basis points higher to 1.74% from 1.58%, while the yield on the Treasury's 30-year increased 16 basis points to 2.55% from 2.39% last week.
