Bond Buyer Indexes Mostly Strengthen

The weekly average yield to maturity of The Bond Buyer Municipal Bond Index, which is based on 40 long-term bond prices, were unchanged at 4.35% from the previous week.

The Bond Buyer's 20-Bond GO Index of 20-year general obligation yields were 25 basis points lower to 3.78% from 4.03% in the prior week. It is at its lowest level since Nov. 17, when it was at 3.75%.

The 11-Bond GO Index of higher-grade 20-year GO yields decreased 25 basis points to 3.33% from 3.58% in the previous week. It is at its lowest level in four weeks, when it was at 3.30%.

The Bond Buyer's Revenue Bond Index dropped 23 basis points to 3.87% from 4.10% last week. It is at its lowest level since Nov. 22, when it was at 3.85%.

The yield on the U.S. Treasury's 10-year note fell five basis points to 2.40% from 2.45%, while the yield on the Treasury's 30-year bond was unchanged from 3.10% in the prior week.
