Bond Buyer Indexes Are Narrowly Mixed

The weekly average yield to maturity of The Bond Buyer Municipal Bond Index, which is based on 40 long-term bond prices, was unchanged from 3.94% in the previous week.

The Bond Buyer's 20-Bond GO Index of 20-year general obligation yields fell two basis points to 3.28% from 3.30% in the prior week. It is at its lowest level since April 7 when it also stood at 3.28%.

The 11-Bond GO Index of higher-grade 20-year GO yields decreased two basis points to 2.80% from 2.82% in the previous week. It is at its lowest level since April 7 when it also was at 2.80%.

The Bond Buyer's Revenue Bond Index fell three basis points to 3.68% from 3.71% last week. It is at its lowest level ever.

The yield on the U.S. Treasury's 10-year note rose eight basis points to 1.87% from 1.79%, while the yield on the Treasury's 30-year bond increased nine basis points to 2.69% from 2.60% in the prior week.
