The Nevada Assembly approved a bill Tuesday to support a public-private partnership to build a bypass toll road around Boulder City.
SB 506 would set up a public-private partnership with the Southern Nevada Regional Transportation Commission to build the state’s only toll road.
The Assembly approved the bill by 29 to 13 after an initial uncontested approval and then a reconsidered tie vote, according to the Las Vegas Sun.
The Senate earlier passed the measure by a 21-to-0 vote.
A previous similar bill ran into opposition from labor unions, according to the newspaper.
