McCall Parkhurst & Horton promoted Abraham "Abe" Benavides, Nikki Hill, and Orlando "Jay" Juarez to partner, effective Jan. 1.

Benavides, based in Dallas, has experience as bond counsel, disclosure counsel, and underwriters' counsel in a variety of debt financings involving non-profit senior living providers, non-profit and governmental hospitals, tollway authorities, cities, universities, and airports, the firm said. He joined McCall as an associate in 2017 and is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Dallas Bar Association, Dallas Hispanic Bar Association, and National Association of Bond Lawyers. Abe earned his J.D. from Duke University School of Law and his B.A. from Vanderbilt University.
Hill, based in Houston, served as disclosure counsel to various special districts throughout Texas and as bond counsel, underwriters' counsel and disclosure counsel to cities, counties, school districts, transit authorities and other governmental entities in the Houston area. She joined McCall as an associate in 2020. She is a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers and on the executive council of Texas Women in Public Finance. Nikki earned her J.D. from The University of Texas at Austin School of Law and her B.A. from Southern Methodist University.
Juarez, based in San Antonio, serves exclusively as bond counsel, disclosure counsel, underwriters' counsel, and trustee's counsel on debt financings by public entities – primarily cities, counties, and school districts. He joined McCall as an associate in 2016. He is a member of the Southern District of Texas, State Bar of Texas, National Association of Bond Lawyers, Texas Young Lawyer's Association, and Texas Exes. He earned his J.D. from The University of Texas at Austin School of Law and his B.A. from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
