CHICAGO — Six firms have responded to Indiana's request for qualifications to partner with the state for the $1.3 billion Illiana Corridor toll road connecting Indiana and Illinois, officials said Tuesday.
The six teams are composed of a total of nearly 60 local, national, and international firms, Indiana transportation officials said.
The project is a 47-mile toll road linking the two states. Both states intend to pursue separate public-private partnerships to fund the road.
The responding teams are: WM Indiana-Illiana Partners LLC, with equity members Meridiam Infrastructure Illiana IN, LLC and Walsh Investors, with Walsh Construction Company II LLC as the lead contractor; Illiana Open Road Innovators, composed of equity members SNC-Lavalin Capital USA Inc., UIF GP, LLC, and Zachry Resources Inc., with lead contractors Zachry Construction, SNC-Lavalin and James McHugh Construction Co.; Illiana East Mobility Partners, made up of equity member Cintra Infraestructuras, S.A., and lead contractors Ferrovial Agroman US Corp. and White Construction, Inc.; Indiana Corridor Transportation Group, with equity members ACS Infrastructure Development, Inc., Fengate Capital Management Ltd., and contractors Dragados USA, FH Paschen SN, and William Charles Construction Company; Isolux Infrastructure Netherlands BV LLC, composed of equity member Isolux Infrastructure Netherlands and contractors AZTEC Engineering Group and TYPSA; and Indiana Mobility Partners, with equity members Fluor Enterprises Inc., and Plenary Group USA Ltd., and lead contractors Fluor Enterprises, The Lane Construction Corp., and Granite Construction Company.
"The Indiana Finance Authority and Indiana Department of Transportation are honored to see interest from such qualified and experienced companies," IFA director Kendra York said in a statement. "We will thoroughly review the team's qualifications and announce a short list of proposers that will be invited to respond to a final request for proposals."
Illinois announced on Dec. 20 that five teams had responded to its RFQ.
